Elizabeth Edwards 1949-2010 RIP
I do not know a lot about Mrs. Edwards but she seemed to be a classy lady, so I was rather dismayed to see this response from a commenter on Michelle Malkin's Blog. Happily the commenter's there are overall classy folks themselves and the person got short shrift.
Why is anyone interested in Elizabeth Edwards passing? There are probably thousands of people who die every week from cancer, yet when she dies, it’s a big story. Now, for the next week or two, we are going to have to watch/listen to ‘loving tributes’ designed to honour her for her ‘contribution’ – whatever that was mind you.
I know John Edwards’ daughter’s mommy is going to get a tingle in her muffin at this news. Because they were only separated, not divorced, Edwards will probably get a huge life insurance payout, try to milk this drama to get back into the political spotlight and can now live the down and dirty lifestyle with Ms. Hunter. And again, this will be another soap-opera segment of the entire dramatic story that we have to be subjected to for the next long while.
And in summary, really what was Elizabeth, John and Rheal’s contribution to the world – mmmmm, let’s see….Elizabeth married John, a trial lawyer. Rheal had sex with John, as referenced – a trial lawyer and a lying, disgusting politician intent on stealing the public’s money for his and his friends’ benefit. So, really, I don’t see the reason to even pay attention. If my wife passes away of cancer next year, will anyone write up something for her?
My Mom passed away May 9th, 2009, and no she was not written up in the news even though she was every bit the class act Mrs. Edwards appeared to be.
It is not the lot in most of our lives to be well known and in the news but if what I have been seeing on the news so far is any indication we are very blessed by that 'lack'. I feel deeply for her children who must re-live the death of their brother, the notoriety of their Father and endless commentary good and bad.
I end agreeing with this commenter
Not much one can say at times like this, except may God be with her family during their time of loss and grief. Know that we grieve with you and our prayers and thoughts are with you.

I felt sorry for her because of the humiliation she had to put up with as a result of her husband's infidelity. What a toad the "Breck-Boy" was, eh?
P.S.--
My condolences on the loss of your mother.
Sorry I haven't "stopped by" in a while.
Elizabeth Edwards was married to John Edwards, living high on his glorified "ambulance chaser" ill gotten earnings. I find it difficult to feel any sympathy, bad person though that might make me seem.
